Grief and loss
After a death, a separation, a diagnosis or any loss that has changed how life feels.
What it can feel like
- Waves of sadness, anger or guilt that come without warning
- Finding it hard to talk about the loss, or to stop talking about it
- Feeling that others have moved on and you have not
- Trouble sleeping, eating or concentrating
Everyone is different; you do not need to recognise all of these.
How therapy can help
Grief is not something to fix or finish. Therapy gives it a regular place, so the rest of the week has a little more room. Some people come for a few sessions soon after a loss; others come years later.
