What happens on the visit
- Cooking a meal from what is in the kitchen, or a dish you choose
- Plenty to drink, and a drink left within reach
- Washing up and checking the fridge for food past its date
- Help with eating, at your pace, if you need it
Good to know
Mealtime visits last 30 minutes. Lunch and tea every day come to 7 hours a week, $246 at example prices. Carers can shop for the week on one visit.
Every care week starts empty
A care coordinator visits you at home, free of charge, to talk through the day and plan the visits with you. There is nothing to sign at the assessment.
