What a cross-connect is, and when you need one

A cross-connect is a cable we run from your rack to another rack in the building: a carrier’s, a partner’s, or your own in the other hall (sample note).
It is the shortest, quietest network path there is: no internet in between, and it costs a monthly fee instead of traffic.
Ask for one when two of your systems talk a lot, or when your carrier is already in our meet-me room.
