How often should a dog be groomed?

It depends almost entirely on the coat (sample note).
Poodles, bichons and doodles grow hair that does not shed, so they need a clip every four to eight weeks. Double coats like collies and huskies need a good brush-out at the change of season, not a clip.
Short coats need very little: a bath when they roll in something and their nails trimmed once a month. Ask our groomers at the counter for a plan for your dog.
