Care
A pet shop should help you look after the animal, not only sell you things for it. Bring your dog in for a groom, ask us about a diet change, or meet a shelter cat on adoption day.
About
A neighbourhood shop since 2012 (sample)
Maple Lane Pets (sample) started as a corner shop selling dog food and bird seed. Today it has two floors of food, toys, beds and clothes, a grooming room at the back and a noticeboard full of lost-and-found posters.
Everyone behind the counter has a dog or a cat at home, so we stock what we would buy for our own.
Dry, wet and raw food for dogs and cats, chosen by the staff who use it.
Baths, trims and full grooms in the room behind the shop.
Heavy bags of food and litter brought to your door (sample).
Once a month, local shelters bring dogs and cats to meet.
Shop
What goes out of the door most weeks. Ask us to put anything aside and collect it, or have it delivered with your food order.
Example prices. Stock changes every week; ask us before you come.
Three groomers, one room at the back of the shop and no more than four dogs a day each (sample).

Medium dogs, 10 to 25 kg

Owners
We came in for a bag of food and left with the right harness, a nail clipper lesson and a groom booked for Saturday. Biscuit now pulls me towards the shop.
