From a market stall to Larder Lane
We began with a trestle table of old cast iron that we cleaned up and seasoned again.
People came back for advice as much as for the pans. When the bakery on Larder Lane moved out, we took its shop, kept its long counter and built a sharpening bench in the old bread store (sample).
We still sell second-hand cast iron when we find it, next to new pans, knives and bakeware from small makers.
