An independent wine shop chosen bottle by bottle

Four hundred wines from small growers, every one tasted before it reaches the shelf. Open six days a week on Vine Street (sample).

The cellar

small, chosen, tasted

Vine Street Cellar (sample) is one long room under a vaulted ceiling, with bottles on three walls and a counter at the back where something is always open. We buy from about sixty growers, most of them families who farm a few hectares and make the wine themselves.

Ask for a bottle for tonight, a case for a wedding or a wine that tastes like the place you came back from. We will open something for you to try.

Our shop

On Vine Street since 2009, run by two people who still taste every bottle (sample)

Long rows of vines running toward the horizon at sunset, trees at the edge of the field

Elena started the shop with a hundred bottles and a borrowed counter. Fifteen years later the cellar holds four hundred wines, and she still drives to see most of the growers before she buys.

We would rather sell you one good bottle you will remember than a case you will not. Tell us what you are cooking, who you are meeting or what you liked last time, and we will find the wine.
