Before you travel
Passports, insurance, luggage and payments: what to sort out before departure.
Your travel documents arrive three weeks before departure. Until then, this is the list.
- A passport valid for six months after you return
- Travel insurance with cancellation and medical cover
- Visas or entry forms where needed (we tell you which)
- Comfortable walking shoes that you have already worn in
- A small day pack and a water bottle
When do I pay the balance?
Eight weeks before departure. We send a reminder two weeks before that.
How much luggage can I bring?
One suitcase up to 20 kg and a day pack. On the Dolomites tour your main bag goes by road between huts.
What if I need to cancel?
Up to eight weeks before departure you lose the deposit only; after that a sliding scale applies (sample terms). Your insurance should cover the rest.
Can you book my flights?
Yes, for a fee of $40 per booking (example prices), or we send you the best times and you book yourself.
