Station Square Taxis (sample) began with three cars outside the station. Today about forty drivers cover Springfield around the clock, from the same corner office.
Our first drivers worked the station rank in shifts and took bookings on one phone in the café opposite. The rank is still ours, and so is the number (sample).
Most of our drivers live in town. They know the back way to the hospital when Market Street is closed, and which door of the care home opens at night.
Every driver holds a city taxi licence, has passed a background check and a local knowledge test, and keeps a clean driving record (sample).
