Qualified teachers

Every teacher holds a swim teaching qualification and a background check (sample).

Clean, tested water

Water quality is tested four times a day and logged at reception.

My son cried at the first lesson. Six months later he jumps in at the deep end and asks for more.

Sample parent, Strokes stage

I was 41 and could not put my face in the water. Now I swim twenty lengths on Sunday mornings.

Questions parents ask

Swimsuit, towel, goggles if they like them, and a drink for afterwards. We lend caps and floats.

Usually yes with ear plugs; check with your doctor first and tell the teacher.

Yes, from the viewing gallery. For the Splash stage one parent is in the water with their baby.

Swap into another class at the same stage in the same week, or ask reception about a make-up session.

Teachers check progress every few weeks. When your child is ready, we offer a place in the next stage.
