Trail running
Grip, a vest that carries what races ask for, and a waterproof that weighs less than an apple.
What the trail asks for
Trails mean mud, stones and weather that changes on the way up. Shoes need lugs, and most races want a waterproof with taped seams in your vest.
- Lugs of 4 mm for mud, lower for dry paths
- A vest with a whistle, flasks and room for the jacket
- Socks a little higher, to keep grit out
