A running shoe fitting takes thirty minutes
Shoes are the one thing you should never buy by size alone. We measure both feet standing, watch you run on the treadmill in two or three pairs and let you take the ones that feel like nothing.

Dress for the weather, not the start line
You warm up by about ten degrees once you are running. Dress for a day that is ten degrees warmer than the forecast and you will be cold for the first kilometre and right for the rest.
Below 0 °C
Merino base layer, thermal tights, a gilet or insulated jacket, gloves and a neck tube. Shorten the run if the path is icy.
Three layers
0 to 10 °C
A long-sleeve top or merino, tights, a wind shell or waterproof. Gloves until about 6 °C.
Two layers
10 to 18 °C
A tee and shorts, or a long sleeve if it is windy. Carry the shell if rain is forecast.
One layer
Over 18 °C
Open mesh tee or a vest, shorts, a cap, and water. Run early or late in the day.
