Photographs of people, rooms and objects, made to order
I am Mara Linde (sample), a photographer in Springfield. Magazines, architects and makers send me a brief; I send back the pictures in every shape they need.
Portrait for a profile piece A city magazine (sample), 4:5
Coast, for a hotel’s home page A seaside hotel (sample), 16:9
A new library, finished An architects’ studio (sample), 2:3
Vase from a spring collection A ceramics studio (sample), 1:1
A garden room in November An interiors magazine (sample), 3:2
Throwing a bowl A pottery school (sample), 4:5
One frame, five shapes
Every commission is shot at 3:2 and cropped for where the pictures will go. You say where; I frame each picture so it still works in the shapes it needs.
3:2
As shot. Double-page spreads, books and the portfolio.
4:5
Magazine pages, prints and the social feed.
1:1
Profile pictures, product grids and square posts.
16:9
Website banners, slides and video covers.
9:16
Stories and phone screens.
Drawn to one height, so the shapes compare at a glance.
Three kinds of commission
Each one comes with a set of pictures in agreed shapes. The frames show the set: shape and how many.
Editorial portraits

Who commissions me

One photographer, one camera bag
I have photographed for magazines and architects for eleven years (sample). I work alone or with one assistant, so the person you brief is the person who takes the pictures.
