Restringing from $60, back in a week
Pearls are strung on silk, and silk stretches. Bring in any strand, ours or not: we check every pearl, knot it on new silk, add a clasp if it needs one and post it back or keep it at the counter.

What happens to your strand

Drop it off
At the counter or by insured post; we write down every pearl and the clasp.

We check and quote
Loose, chipped or dull pearls are shown to you before any work.

We knot it on silk
A knot between every pearl, the length you choose.

Collect it
About seven days later (sample), or we post it back.
Last on, first off
Pearls are soft: perfume, hairspray and sweat dull the nacre over the years. A few habits keep them bright.
- Put pearls on after perfume and make-up, and take them off first
- Wipe them with a soft dry cloth after wearing
- Store them flat in a pouch, away from other jewellery
- Never hang a strand on a hook: the silk stretches
- Have a strand you wear often restrung every two or three years
Book a private viewing
Half an hour at the counter with the pieces you want to see, laid out on a white card under daylight lamps. Free, and there is no need to buy.
