Design consultation
A designer spends about two hours in your home. We measure the room, look at the light, ask how you live in it, and bring a bag of samples to try against your walls.

Material schemes
The board for one room: every surface, fabric and fitting chosen together, with the finish code your builder and suppliers will use. Ideal if you have your own builder and want the design done properly.

Full room design
We design the room, draw it for the builder, order everything and visit the site until it is finished. You get one designer from start to handover.

How a room comes together
Five steps, the same for every full room design.
Consultation
Two hours at your home. We measure, listen and agree a written brief.
Week 1
Survey and layout
A measured survey and a furniture layout for every room in the brief.
Weeks 2–3
Sample board
Real samples for each room, seen in your own daylight. You sign the board off.
Weeks 3–5
Drawings and orders
Joinery, lighting and electrical drawings for your builder. We order the furniture.
Weeks 5–8
Install and styling
We check the work on site, then style the room and hand over a care sheet.
Weeks 8–14
Questions about the services
Do you work with our own builder?
Yes. We send your builder the drawings and the finish schedule and visit the site at the key stages. If you have no builder, we can introduce three we have worked with.
What does a project usually cost?
Design fees start at $650 for a material scheme for one room (example prices). The building work and furniture are separate; we agree a budget for them at the consultation and keep a running total.
How long does it take?
A single room takes about three months from the consultation to the last cushion; a whole home six to nine months. Furniture lead times are the longest part.
Can we buy some things ourselves?
Of course. Every item on the shopping list has a supplier and a code, so you can order anything yourself. We only order what you ask us to.
