Your first week with a safety razor

The first shave with a safety razor feels slow. By the fifth it is quicker than a cartridge (sample note).

Let the weight of the razor do the work and keep the handle low so the blade sits at about thirty degrees. Shave with the grain only for the first week.

If you nick yourself, it is almost always pressure. Lighten your hand, lather again and go slower.
