How often to change a blade

Blades are cheap, irritation is not. Change them before they tug (sample note).

A fine beard can get seven good shaves from one blade, a coarse beard three or four. When the razor starts to pull rather than glide, the edge is gone.

Drop old blades in a blade bank or an empty tin, never loose in the bin.
