Your first wallet
From installing the app to your first test send, in half an hour.
Your first wallet, in five steps
Allow half an hour. Do it at home, alone or with someone you trust.
Install from the right place
From the links on the Support page or your phone’s own store, never from a message.
Write the twelve words
On paper, in order, by hand. The app shows them once.
Save a first contact
Ask the person for their address on a call, save it, read the groups back.
Make a test send
A small amount, then wait for them to say it arrived.
Run the first drill
Restore from your paper copy on the practice screen.
Crypto-assets can lose most or all of their value, quickly, and payments cannot be reversed. Nothing on this site or in the app is financial advice: we help you send carefully, never tell you what to buy or hold.
Setting it up for someone else
If you are helping a parent or a friend, sit with them and let them hold the phone. They write the words, they keep the paper, and they run the first drill while you watch.
- You never photograph or keep their words
- Agree a phone call before any first send
- Show them the pause screen so it is not a surprise
Nobody genuine will ever ask for your recovery words: not support, not a friend, not a bank, not us.
Check before you send
Fourfold Wallet (sample) is free on iPhone and Android. It holds your keys on your phone and runs the four checks before every send.
