How to measure

Five measurements give you every size in the shop: waist, inside leg, collar, sleeve and chest.

Five measurements, a soft tape and a friend

Measure over a shirt and thin trousers, not over a jumper. Pull the tape snug, not tight. Bring the numbers in or send them with the form.

1

Waist

Around your middle where your trousers sit, usually just below the belly button. That number in inches is your W.

2

Inside leg

From the crotch seam to the floor, standing straight in socks. Round down to the nearest even inch for your L.

3

Collar

Around the neck where the collar button sits, one finger under the tape. Shirts go in half inches.

4

Sleeve

From the centre back of the neck, over the shoulder and down to the wrist bone, arm slightly bent.

5

Chest

Around the fullest part, under the arms, arms down. That is your jacket number: 40, 42, 44.
