Saturday counter: a morning with the volunteers

The Saturday team arrives at half past nine, when the bakery van drops off yesterday’s bread and the fruit from the market (sample).

By ten the counter is set up and the kettle is on. Visitors choose their food from the shelves with a volunteer, who knows which shelves hold halal, vegetarian and baby food.
