Longplay Audio (sample) started in 2019 in the back room of a Springfield record shop, with one question: what would streaming look like if it were built around albums?
We started by licensing independent labels one by one and asking them how their records should be played: in order, without gaps, with the credits (sample).
We never add loudness levelling unless you switch it on, and lossless files are streamed as the label delivered them.
Each subscription is split between the artists that subscriber played, in proportion to their listening. We publish the split every year (sample).
