Farm visits
School trips, group walks and open farm days, from April to December.
A morning on the farm
Our school visits fit the primary science topics on plants, soil and food, and work for ages 5 to 11. Each class has its own farmer for the morning.
- Risk assessment and a pre-visit sheet for teachers
- Toilets and hand-washing by the barn
- A covered barn for lunch if it rains

Questions from teachers
What if it rains?
We go out anyway in light rain (bring coats and wellies) and move into the barn for heavy rain. We only cancel for storms, and then we rebook for free.
Can children with allergies pick and taste?
Yes. Tell us on the booking form; the farmer leading your class will know before you arrive.
Is the farm step-free?
The yard, barn and toilets are. The field paths are grass and can be muddy; we have a trailer for anyone who cannot walk them.
How many adults do we need?
One adult for every six children under 8, and one for every ten older children.
