Rebuilding a library website without losing a single link

Fernhill Library’s (sample) old site had more than 400 addresses, many of them linked from school pages and local guides.

We listed every one, matched it to a page on the new sitemap, and set up a redirect for each before launch.

On launch day the old links kept working, and visits from search engines carried on as before.
