How we work
A brief, three proofs and a launch: the same plan for every job, big or small.
How a project runs
A typical identity job takes ten weeks. You see three proofs on the way, and nothing goes to print or goes live until you sign the last one.
Brief and first call
We read, ask, and agree the job in writing.
Proof 1: routes
Two or three directions, shown on real things.
Proof 2: one route, refined
Your changes, then the details.
Proof 3 and sign-off
Final checks; you sign the proof.
Artwork and launch
Files, printing, going live, handover.
Timings for a typical brand identity project (sample). Websites add four weeks of build.
What each proof shows
A proof is a printed or live version of the work that you mark up and sign. Three of them, in this order.
Proof 1: routes
Two or three different answers to the brief, each shown on the real things: a bag, a sign, a home page on a phone.
Proof 2: one route, refined
The route you chose with your changes, and the details: colours checked in print, type tested at small sizes.
Proof 3: sign-off
Everything as it will be printed or published. You sign the proof, then we make the artwork and files.
Have a job for the studio?
Send a short brief: what you make, who it is for and when you need it. We reply within two working days (sample).
