Getting a car ready for winter storage

A car that stands for four months needs a little preparation (sample note).

Wash and dry it fully, including under the arches, so nothing sits on the paint under the cover. Fill the tank, set the tyres to the pressure on the door pillar plus a little, and leave the handbrake off if the car is on level ground.

In our storage bays every car is on a battery conditioner and is driven for ten minutes once a month, so the seals, brakes and tyres do not set.
