A network upgrade switches on: what changes for your wallet

A planned upgrade to a large crypto network switched on this week at a block height announced months ago (sample explainer).

For most people nothing changes: your keys, your recovery phrase and your addresses keep working. If your wallet app asks you to update, update it from the official app store, never from a link in a message.

Scammers use every upgrade as a reason to write to people. No upgrade ever needs your recovery phrase.
