Ads that get replies
The ads with the most questions in a week have three things in common: the pay in numbers, the real hours and a closing date (sample).
- Say the hourly rate or the yearly range, before tax
- Give the shifts as times, not "flexible hours"
- Name the place: the street or the part of town
- Say what training you give and what the first week looks like
Questions from employers
How quickly does my ad go up?
Within one working day. We read it, call you if something is missing, then put it on the website and print it for the library board.
Do people apply through you?
They ask about the job through our form or by phone, with the reference from your ad. We forward each message to you the same day; you reply to them directly.
Can I change the ad after it goes up?
Yes, free of charge while it is on the board: new hours, a later closing date, or a tab torn when you fill an opening.
Can I advertise a job without the pay?
No. Every ad on the board shows the pay. It is the first thing people look for, and ads without it get very few replies.
