Free help at Springfield Library on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (sample).
What the volunteers help with
Sessions last up to forty minutes. Come in, or book one with the form so a volunteer is free when you arrive (sample).
At the desk
- Finding the ads that fit your hours and travel
- A one-page CV, typed up and printed for you
- Writing the message to send with a reference
- Practising what to say on the phone to an employer
Worth bringing
- Dates of your last jobs, roughly is fine
- Any licences or certificates
- The references of ads you have seen
- Your phone, if you want to call an employer there and then

Send us the reference from the tab and a few lines about yourself. We pass it to the employer the same day, and you hear back within three working days (sample).
