Limescale on taps: a ten-minute fix

Soak a cloth in white vinegar, wrap it round the tap and leave it for ten minutes. The scale softens and wipes away with the yellow cloth.

Rinse with clean water and dry the tap straight away; the drying is what keeps new marks from forming.

Do not use vinegar on natural stone such as marble or limestone. Ask us and we will bring a stone-safe product.
