A weekend for first-timers
Two days at the camp office and the range with a certified instructor, for adults who did not grow up hunting. No license needed; you will not hunt an animal this weekend.

Hunter education
Anyone born after 1 January 1975 needs a hunter education card to buy a license (sample rule). The course covers firearm safety, ethics, first aid and the law.
How to get your card
- Online course at your own pace, about six hours
- A field day with a certified instructor: we run two each summer
- The card is valid for life and in every state
