the autumn collection
Chiffon, jersey, modal and silk scarves in quiet colours, chosen to drape well, stay in place and never show through.
A modest wear boutique in Linden Arcade, Springfield (sample)
We sell hijabs, underscarves and pins, long dresses and abayas, and we take the time to help you choose. Every scarf on our tables has been washed, worn and pinned by one of us before it goes on sale.
Come in to feel the fabrics, see how each colour looks against your skin and learn a new way to wrap. There is always tea, and never any hurry.
Amira House (sample) began as a market stall with two suitcases of scarves. Ten years on, the boutique is still run by the same two sisters, and every customer still gets a mirror, a pin and an honest opinion.
Ivory crepe
180 × 70 cm
Opaque
made with care
We choose fabrics that are opaque enough to wear without worry, cut long enough to wrap twice and soft enough for a whole day. If a scarf slips or shows through, it does not stay on our tables.
Light layers for days that start cold and end warm: blush and sand chiffons, breathable modal and an underscarf that keeps everything in place.
Blush chiffon
190 × 75 cm
Semi-sheer: wear an underscarf
A small, changing collection: about forty colours in four fabrics, plus underscarves, pins and long dresses. The tag on each piece tells you the fabric, the size and how sheer it is.
Example prices. Pieces are paid and collected in the boutique; ask and we keep one aside for three days.
How each fabric falls, how sheer it is and when to wear it. If in doubt, ask us to pin one on you.
