What a setup does, and when your guitar needs one

Wood moves with the seasons, and so does the neck of your guitar (sample note).
A setup puts it back: we adjust the truss rod, lower or raise the strings at the saddle, check the nut slots and set the intonation so the twelfth fret plays in tune.
If your guitar has got harder to play since the spring, or buzzes where it never did, it is probably time. Most setups are ready the next day.
