Your first employee: the payroll dates to know

Once you pay wages, payroll brings its own dates: a payroll return each quarter, at the end of April, July, October and January (sample note).

In January you also send each employee and contractor their year-end form. If you run payroll with us, these are filed from the pay runs we already do for you.

Before the first pay day, we check the new starter’s forms so the withholding is right from the start.
