FAQs
Learning to shave, blades, travelling with a razor, returns and how to order.
Questions we are asked
If yours is not here, ask at the counter or send us a message.
Is a safety razor hard to learn?
Not hard, just different: no pressure, a steady angle and short strokes. Most people are comfortable after a week.
How often should I change the blade?
Every four to seven shaves for most beards; sooner for a coarse beard.
Can I take a razor on a plane?
Safety and straight razors go in checked luggage. Pack blades in their case.
Do you sell online?
Not yet. Send the request form or call, and we put the item aside for a week.
Do you sell electric shavers?
No. We are a wet-shave shop, but we are happy to help you make the change.
Can I return a razor?
Unused items in their box within fourteen days (sample policy). Blades and opened soaps cannot be returned.
Come in and hold a razor before you buy it.
Every razor on the counter can be picked up, weighed in the hand and fitted with a blade. Ask us to put something aside and collect it when it suits you.
