Printing Night ferry: two drums, forty sheets

Night ferry went through the risograph last week: blue first, then pink on top, forty sheets and two artist’s proofs (sample).

The pink layer has to land within a millimetre of the blue, so the first twenty sheets are test pulls on scrap paper. Those go in the recycling, not in the edition.

Forty is the number that dries flat on the long table in one evening. Every sheet is numbered in pencil the next morning.
