Training and health checks for your team
From one first aider to a whole site: courses at your workplace, occupational health checks and a record of who is trained in what.
Training at your workplace
For four people or more, a trainer comes to you with everything the course needs. Your team learns in the place where they would have to use it, and nobody loses a day to travel.
We bring
- Adult manikins, one between two people, and a training defibrillator
- Bandages, dressings and a practice first-aid box
- Handouts and certificates of attendance
You provide
- A room with floor space for everyone to kneel
- Tables, chairs and a place to wash hands
- A list of names a week before the course
Working out your first-aid cover
Four steps we walk through with you before a booking. The assessment is yours; we help you turn it into the right courses.
1
Look at the work
What could go wrong on your site: machinery, heights, chemicals, lone working, members of the public.
2
Count people per shift
Cover has to be there on every shift, at weekends and during holidays, not only on paper.
3
Choose the courses
Usually a mix: full first aiders for higher-risk areas, one-day courses and defibrillator training for the rest.
4
Book and keep a record
We send dates for each person and remind you before their certificate reaches its date (sample).
Occupational health checks
An occupational health nurse (sample) runs the checks at your site, one person at a time, in a quiet room. Each person gets their own results.
Hearing checks
For people who work in noise: workshops, warehouses, kitchens, grounds teams.
20 minutes
Lung function tests
For work with dust, fumes, sprays or flour.
20 minutes
Skin checks
For wet work, cleaning products, oils and gloves worn all day.
10 minutes
Vision screening
For people who use screens most of the day, and for drivers.
15 minutes
Health questionnaires
Before someone starts a new role, read by the nurse, who follows up if needed.
Online
The employer receives a summary only with each person’s consent.
A record of who is trained
Every booking is added to your company’s training record: names, courses, dates and the date each certificate is due for renewal. Ask for it at any time as a spreadsheet.
Reminders before the date
First reminder
3 months before
Second reminder
1 month before
