Fabrics and care
What the clothes are made of and how to wash them so they last to the next child.
What the clothes are made of
Small skin, lots of washing. We stock fabrics that stay soft after fifty washes and say on every label how to wash them.
Organic cotton next to the skin
Bodysuits, sleepsuits and leggings are certified organic cotton with no harsh finishes (sample).
Merino for warm layers
Fine merino keeps babies warm without bulk and does not need washing after every wear.
Poppers until age 2
Openings down the front and along the legs, so changes take seconds.
Wash at 40
Almost everything goes in the machine at 40°C. Knitwear is labelled when it needs a cool hand wash.
Washing and care
Small clothes are washed a lot. A few habits keep them soft enough to hand down.
Cotton bodysuits, sleepsuits, leggings
Merino and other knitwear
30°C, close the zips, no softener
Cool wash in a laundry bag
General guidance (sample); the label in each piece comes first.
Not sure which size?
Send us your child’s height and age, and the item you like. We reply with the size to choose and what is in stock (sample).
