How to measure your child
Two minutes, a pencil and a tape measure. Do it on the morning you shop: children are a little taller after a night’s sleep.
Between two sizes? Choose the larger one. In the first year many babies move up a size every two to three months.
Shoes off, back to the wall
Heels, back and head touch the wall; eyes look straight ahead.
A book flat on the head
Rest a hardback on top of the head, level with the floor.
Mark under the book
Pencil a short line on the wall or the door frame where the book meets it.
Measure floor to mark
Read the height in centimetres and find the same number on the tape. For babies, measure lying down, crown to heel.
Fit questions
My child is between two sizes. Which one?
The larger one. The sleeves can be rolled once, and the piece will last a season longer.
Do the sizes match other shops?
Most European brands use the same height sizes. Some cut slimmer; we note it on the item when they do.
How do I measure a baby who cannot stand?
Lay the baby on a firm surface, legs gently straight, and measure from the top of the head to the heel.
What if the size is wrong?
Swap it for another size within 60 days with the tag on, free (sample policy).
