Above the weather: what a winter flight looks like

Business jets cruise above most weather, but take-off and landing still happen in it (sample).

In snow the aircraft is sprayed with de-icing fluid just before departure. It takes 10 to 20 minutes and is billed at cost.

If the destination is below landing limits, the captain may wait, hold or go to the backup airport. Your trip contact arranges a car either way.
