Ask your florist which flowers in the brief cope with a warm room for ten hours. Many do; a few wilt by the speeches.

Keep centrepieces low or very tall, so guests can talk across the table. Anything at eye level gets moved to the floor by the second course.

Plan who takes the flowers home. A note on the supplier sheet saves an argument at midnight.
