A small planning studio in Springfield
Ashby Lane Weddings (sample) is three people who plan about twenty-five weddings a year, each one from the first call to the last dance.
Why we plan weddings
Nora started the studio after planning a friend’s wedding in a barn with no electricity and a forecast of rain. It went well, mostly because everything was written down.
That is still how we work: a budget you can read, a table plan that matches the room, and an order of the day that every supplier has in their pocket. We keep the number of weddings small so that each couple has the same planner throughout.
How we work
A few rules we keep for every wedding, whatever the size.
One planner, start to finish
The person on your first call is the person who runs your day. We take no more than two weddings a weekend.
No commission
Suppliers invoice you directly. Our fee is fixed in the proposal and does not grow with your budget.
Everything written down
Budget, timings, table plan and supplier sheet live in one shared document you can open at any time.
A rain plan for every outdoor moment
We walk the venue with you and agree where the ceremony moves if the weather turns.
Who plans your wedding
One lead planner from the first call to the last dance, and a second person on the day.
Nora Ashby
Lead planner and founder (sample)
Has planned weddings in barns, ballrooms and one lighthouse. Draws every table plan by hand first.
Theo Grant
Planner (sample)
Looks after suppliers and budgets. Former events manager at a country house hotel.
Priya Shah
Day coordinator (sample)
Runs the day: timings, suppliers, the ushers and the rain plan.
What we do not do
- Take commission from venues or suppliers
- Run more than two weddings on one weekend
- Hand your day to someone you have never met
- Promise good weather (we bring the rain plan instead)
