Your first tattoo: what to expect on the day

Eat a proper meal an hour or two before and bring water and a snack. A full stomach makes a real difference to how you feel in the chair.

Your artist shows you the drawing, prints the stencil and places it on your skin. Look at it in the mirror from every side; moving it now takes a minute.

During the session you can ask for a break at any time. Afterwards the tattoo is cleaned and wrapped, and you leave with aftercare cream and written instructions.
