Questions about traineeships
Will it affect my benefits?
It can. Before you start, our jobs desk helps you check with your adviser, so there are no surprises.
Can I choose where I work?
Yes. Most people try a day in each venture in the first week, then choose.
What happens after twelve weeks?
We help you apply for jobs and give you a reference. Some trainees stay on as staff when there is a vacancy.
Do I need a referral?
No. A support worker can refer you, or you can apply yourself.
Start with a cup of tea
Come to the canteen any weekday at 10:00 and ask for Sam. No forms on the first visit.
