How to read the board
Why is fish priced each, not per kilo?
Because you buy one fish. The length tells you its weight and how many it serves, and the price is for that fish, prepared free.
How is a fish measured?
Snout against the stop at zero, the length read where the tail fork falls. That is how fishermen and fishmongers measure.
What does hatched mean?
Landed yesterday. Solid fish were landed this morning. Nothing stays on the board longer than two days.
Can I order a size?
Yes. Tell us the length or the number of people and we choose the closest fish from the landing.
What size to buy
A rough guide for round fish, whole on the bone. Flatfish of the same length feed about one more person.
