Assurance
Work that ends in a signed report someone else can rely on.
Which level fits
The reader of your accounts decides how much checking they need. The marks show the difference.
Compilation
No marks: we put your figures together and do not check them.
We prepare the accounts from your records. Useful for owners and small lenders who need tidy figures, not a check of them.
Review
We compare the figures with last year and with what we know of the business, and ask about anything unusual.
Audit
We test the figures against evidence from outside the business: bank letters, invoices, the stock count.
Three kinds of assurance work
Statutory audit
Reasonable assurance on the whole of your accounts, with an auditor’s report.
Review engagement
Limited assurance from analysis and questions, with a review report.
Agreed-upon procedures
Only the checks you agree with the reader, reported as facts found.
Tell us who is asking
A lender, a funder or the law usually decides which work you need. Send us the request and your year end; we reply with a fixed quote and a timetable.
