Why family sessions start 90 minutes before sunset

When the sun is low and behind you, faces sit in soft shade and the edges of hair and clothes glow (sample).

We start about 90 minutes before sunset, so there is time to walk, play and settle before the best light. A white reflector bounces some of that light back onto faces.

If the forecast is grey, we move the session or come to the studio instead, at no cost.
