A new entry every Sunday. Latest: No. 148, Garlic in, tomatoes out (sample)

The notebook, pencils, camera and bicycle behind most entries.
The few things that do most of the work. Nothing here is sponsored, and most of it is old.
Notebook
A5, dot grid, 192 pages. I fill one about every four months.
Pencils
A copying pencil for lists and the index, a fountain pen for letters.
Camera
An old compact. Photos go up as they come out of it.
Bicycle
A steel touring bike from the 1980s, mended more than ridden (No. 97).
This site
WordPress, the free Elementor plugin and this theme.
Most entries are written at the kitchen table on Saturday afternoon, by hand first, then typed on Sunday morning with a pot of tea.
The index lives on the last pages of the current notebook until it goes up on the site.
Questions about an entry, corrections, a recipe that worked (or did not): I read every letter and answer most of them within a week.
