Inside the archive drawers

The archive room holds a record card for every object we have accepted since 1898 (sample story).
Early cards are handwritten and sometimes surprising: one records a stone axe as ‘found by the vicar’s dog’.
We are typing every card into the online catalogue. Volunteers are welcome on Wednesday mornings.
