Careers
Machinists, welders and apprentices on a shop floor that still makes things for a living.

Questions from applicants
Do I need experience to start an apprenticeship?
No. You need an interest in how things are made and maths at school level; the college course teaches the rest.
Can I come and see the shop first?
Yes. We run an open morning every spring and arrange visits for anyone who applies (sample).
Which shift would I work?
Apprentices work days. Setters and operators choose day or evening shift; the evening shift is paid a premium (sample).
How do I apply?
Send a short note about yourself to the jobs address on the contact page. A CV helps but is not required.
Start in the shop
