The path to the beach, and when to take it

The garden gate opens onto a sandy path between two fences. Six minutes later you are on the beach (sample).

At low tide the sand runs for a mile towards the lighthouse, and the rock pools at the north end are full of crabs. At high tide the beach is narrow and the swimming is best.

The tide times for the week are on the board by the front desk, next to the keys. Towels and a bag are in your room.
